The South Australian Children’s Ballet Company will provide talented young South Australian dancers with the opportunity to perform a variety of dance styles and to introduce the world of classical and modern dance to its younger audiences.

The SACBC recognises that it places significant demands upon the time and energies of its members.  All members must attend all rehearsals and make themselves available for the many performances that the Company undertakes each year. It stands as testament to the dedication of its young people that members remain with the company for an average of five to six years.

  • To promote dance as a performing art
  • To promote the optimum development of the Company’s talented young dancers
  • To promote a professional attitude and high standards in the art of dance.
  • To recognise and support the role of dance in children’s development
  • To actively participate in education children about dance as a performing art.
  • To co-operate with a range of groups which have similar objectives.

To realise it’s joint aims, the SACBC performs regularly throughout the year. The Company has performed as part of the Fringe Festival and is a regular guest at the Something On Saturday program at the Festival Centre. Each year in October the company conducts a public season of selected items from it’s repertoire.
