MISSION STATEMENT

The South Australian Children's Ballet Company will provide talented young South Australian dancers with the opportunity to perform a variety of dance styles and to introduce the world of classical and modern dance to its younger audiences.

The company is dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of young performers to help them to better shape their own destinies through commitment to the pursuit of excellence.

The SACBC recognises that it places significant demands upon the time and energies of its members. All members must attend all rehearsals and make themselves available for the many performances that the Company undertakes each year. It stands as testament to the dedication of its young people that members remain with the company for an average of five to six years.

OUR OBJECTIVES

	To promote dance as a performing art.
	To further the recognition of dance
	To promote the optimum development of the Company’s talented young dancers
	To provide a performing outlet for young dancers.
	To promote a professional attitude and high standards in the art of dance.
	To promote and perform a variety of dance styles.
	To recognise and support the role of dance in children’s development
	To provide dancers with the experience of working with professional choreographers on various dance styles
	To actively participate in education children about dance as a performing art.
	To co-operate with a range of groups which have similar objectives.

WHAT WE DO

To realise it's joint aims, the SACBC performs regularly at State High and Primary schools and Private Colleges throughout Adelaide and Regional areas. The Company has also performed at the International Dance Day/Dance Spectacular and is a regular guest at the Something On Saturday program at the Festival Centre. Each year in October the company conducts a public season of selected items from it's repertoire.
