Anton
Born
in Canberra, Anton graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with
an Associate Degree in Dance. Anton worked with Toadshow Productions, Dark
Swan School Touring Company under Chris Jannides, Dance North with Graeme
Watson, Jane Pirani and Natalie Weir performed in Jean Tally's Penetrating
Blur with Brisbane based Cherry Herring Co-Operative.
Anton's choreographic works include No Regrets for Dance North's choreographic season in 1997, a number of pieces for smaller public seasons and short corporate functions in 1998/99, Falling, a thirty minute work for Extensions, pieces for Dance North's youth link and four short works for Ignition (the ADT dancers' choreographic season) including US 2000; MARAT 2001; KALT (Cold Dreams Warm Hearts) 2002 and While On The Way 2003.
Since joining the Australian Dance Theatre (ADT) in 2000, Anton has performed in Nothing, The Age of Unbeauty, Birdbrain, Plastic Space and Attention deficit Therapy.
In 2003 Anton made a short dance film called "When You're Alone" to be sent to short film festivals throughout Australia and Europe. He also had the opportunity to work with the South Australian Children's Ballet Company to create Clara's Artic Dream.
Anton is currently performing with the Australian Dance Theatre in Europe.
