Paul Boyd has danced with leading European ballet companies for over twelve years.  Paul commenced training at the age of four with Beverley Waters in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.  His very successful career has spanned 25 years as a dance, Performing with companies all over the world.

He was Principal Dancer with 3 ballet companies in Germany.  He has received the German Critics Award for The Best Up and Coming Artist and The Best Established Artist in Europe and has made guest appearances in America, Israel, Germany, Italy, Monte Carlo, Mexico, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, France and Taiwan.  In 1993 he danced the title role in "Spartacus" at the famous Summer Arts festival in Arena di Verona, Italy.  He also spent 14 years as Principal Dancer, Company Coach and choreographer with the Queensland Ballet.

Since January 2004 Paul has worked as a freelance teacher, coach and choreographer.  In 2004 he was invited to the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts as a guest teacher and choreographer where he created a new work "Tormented Tangos".  In January 2005 Paul will travel to London to restage two existing works, "Uneven Ground" and "In Stillness We Meet" for the graduating students of the Royal Ballet School, and at the end of 2005 he will create a new work for The Australian Ballet Company for their "Bodytorque" programme.

In 1999, he choreographed "Tall Poppies" for the South Australian Children's Ballet Company and returned in 2001 to choreograph "The Red Shoes" for the company.  The Company acknowledges his generosity in giving his time to remount "The Red Shoes" for the 2004 season.
